If you happen to be in Washington DC tonight don't miss the event at Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. SHIFT is a Festival of American Orchestras and Boulder Philharmonic will be featured as the first orchestra. "Nature and Music" is this program's theme, inspired by Boulder's natural beauty and an example of how the orchestra responds to its location. The concert features a multimedia commission commemorating the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
The composer Steve Lias uses FotoMagico to project the images in synchronization with the orchestra compositions. The event starts today, March 28th at 8 p.m. and tickets are available here.
