Boinx Software announces availability of FotoMagico Remote for iPhone & iPod touch

A fullscreen presentation with FotoMagico 3 can now be remotely controlled with the "FotoMagico Remote" application on iPhone or iPod touch. FotoMagico Remote provides playback remote control and a teleprompter right in your palm. You can read your notes and get a visual feedback of the duration of the current slide on the screen, giving your whole live presentation a highly professional touch.

With FotoMagico Remote you are free to walk around the stage in front of your audience while narrating your slideshow. FotoMagico Remote on your iPhone or iPod touch is the perfect addition to FotoMagico 3 Pro!

Secure Remote Control

Remote controlling a live presentation with your iPhone or iPod touch can be protected with a four digit PIN code. Setting the PIN code makes sure nobody else can interfere with the presentation.

System Requirements

FotoMagico Remote runs on any iPhone an iPod touch with iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later. FotoMagico Remote requires FotoMagico 3.0 (or later) running Mac OS Leopard (or later) and an available local WiFi network for the communication between the Mac and the iPhone or iPod touch.

Boinx Software announces BoinxTV 1.3

In addition to the built-in standard chroma keyer, BoinxTV supports an alternative high-quality filter based on Veescope Key by DVDxDV. The "Veescope Key’s Softlyght" filter for $49 shows excellent results in optimized studio lighting, especially in keying fine details (e.g. hair) and rapid movements. Users now can choose between different real-time solutions for their specific needs, to get the best results in using a studio setup with backdrops.

The new audio delay compensation in BoinxTV can be configured to make up for the latency introduced by using different cameras and peripheral connection standards. A new preference makes all connected cameras and microphones automatically available as sources. With BoinxTV 1.3 it is also possible to change the resolution of existing documents.

Boinx Software releases FotoMagico 3

"The magic of storytelling is the driving force behind the development of FotoMagico. The narration audio track is therefore a natural extension to the tool set. As is the support for video now that many digital cameras record movies as well as still images. Both were top among the feature requests" says Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software.

FotoMagico 3 makes it easy for digital photographers to tell their story with images, movies and audio. FotoMagico has been completely re-written to create the foundation for new sophisticated features for version 3.0 and beyond.

Advanced storytelling

Playing nicely along the existing photographer’s workflow, FotoMagico 3 provides direct access to the libraries of iPhoto, Aperture or Lightroom libraries (Pro-version only). Mix high-resolution video provided by current camera models such as the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS 500D (Rebel T1i) or Nikon D90 and Nikon D5000** seamlessly with images. Movies can be animated like image slides without re-encoding. The possibility to define the visible area of the clip with in and out points makes laborious preparations in external movie editors obsolete. The improved storyboard offers in-place functionality and gives hints to further speed up the authoring process.

Audio is greatly enhanced in FotoMagico 3 Pro with three "intelligent" audio tracks dedicated for music, sound effects and narration. Each track has its own settings for Locked Timing and Ducking. The new built-in audio recorder makes it easy to add narration, while the presentation is playing. Audio Ducking automatically lowers the volume of all other audio tracks while the narrator is speaking.

Presenting the professional way

The new Instand Slideshow Assistant helps photographers to create pleasing presentations with even fewer clicks. The assistant takes care off all settingsand is a good starting point for further customization.
