The recently released FotoMagico 4.5, the newest version of the award-winning slideshow creation tool from Boinx, is now optimized for the production of 4K video. FotoMagico 4.5 also takes full advantage of modernized OS X features, providing improvements in performance and stability to better facilitate user creativity.

Puchheim, Germany - December 14, 2012 - FotoMagico, Boinx Software’s slideshow creation tool for the Mac, has reached another milestone by updating to version 4.1. The new upgrade includes media markers to easily manage used media files, export options to share work on Vimeo, and the ability to use FotoMagico in a ProRes-based workflow.

"Since we shipped FotoMagico 4 in October, it has scored top marks with reviewers around the world," says Oliver Breidenbach, CEO, Boinx. "But receiving high praise doesn’t mean we rest on our laurels - it’s a challenge for us to create even better work in the future."

FotoMagico 4.1 Feature Highlights Include:

Media markers help users easily manage slideshows. Now, when image, movie or audio files are dragged into the slideshow document, a small green badge is displayed in the media browser in the sidebar to indicate that this media file is already included in the slideshow. This is useful when authoring large slideshows.

Sharing videos on Vimeo allows users with Vimeo accounts to keep all creative content on one channel (only available on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and newer).

Users can also now share slideshows in the ProRes video format for easy integration with professional video editing workflows such as Final Cut X. This option is only available if the Apple ProRes codec is installed.
