Apple Remote Control
Using the Apple Remote control device that comes with the new Macs to control a presentation is really an obvious idea. The Play button starts and pauses your presentation, the Left and Right buttons move backwards and forwards in the slideshow, the Up and Down buttons let you adjust the volume of the sound and the Menu button ends the presentation. An overlay graphic provides visual feedback.
Soundtracks with GarageBand
Version 1.7 now ties in with Apple's GarageBand 3 where you can create a soundtrack with sound effects, voice over and royalty free music to go with your pictures. To help you create your soundtrack, FotoMagico saves a preview movie of the slideshow and opens it in a new GarageBand project. Especially the jingles, sound effects and voice recording features Apple added to GarageBand for podcasting come in handy for slideshow soundtracks. Once your work is finished and saved, simply drag the GarageBand project file back into the FotoMagico Storyboard to add it to the slideshow.
Drag & DropThe new drag & drop support lets you use media files more conveniently without the need to put them in iPhoto or iTunes. Just drag the files from their location in the Finder on to the FotoMagico window to import them into the current slideshow. This is especially appealing to users of picture management solutions such as iView Media Pro.
